With the albums first track of poetic stanzas, the album sets a tone of melancholy and unraveling of the soul. A deep glance into an artist’s core, Vince Falzone introduces himself as a human being desiring to share his perceptions with those willing to listen. The influence of Paul McCartney is heard throughout this album. With songs like Sad Eyes, a ballad of observation, he exposes his soul and leads us through a journey of fluidity and understanding. “For me this album is full of emotion, starting with When I Wake Up a song I wrote after getting over a fever”, says Vince Falzone. He also states that “Be Free” is dedicated to the passing of his Father, Uncle Craig and good friend Bryan Rooney. One of the most personal songs on this album is The Flood Within which he wrote while waiting at the Hospital throughout the birth of his son Craig. The album oozes with emotion leaving the listener to take a journey of their own. Vince Falzone also modifies the mood of the album with songs like Overdrive and Soccer Rocker - Kick It. Overall, Strip of Leather conveys a heartfelt emotion, which only experience and tribulations bring.
